How do I search near a custom landmark?
|

If you chose to modify your search by landmark, you have the option to create a custom landmark. To create a custom landmark:
- From the Search by Landmark page, click the link click here to create your own landmark.
- On the Create Your Own Landmark page, enter a street address in the appropriate box.
- Select a city from the list.
- If known, enter the zip code.
- Click the Create button.
You will then return to the Search by Landmark page. Your custom landmark will appear in the drop-down box of landmarks.
Custom landmarks are a feature of My RealPages. To learn more about My RealPages, click on the Personalize link in the navigation menu found on the left side of every page.

Links to several features appear in the navigation menu found on the left and bottom sides of every page. The common links are:

- New Search - Click the New Search link to perform a new search on the RealPages.com Web site.
- Personalize - Click the Personalize link to create your own My RealPages search page with customized landmarks.
- Help - Click the Help link for assistance with any page on RealPages.com.
- Auto Guide - Click the Auto Guide link for information on car reviews, dealerships, and on-line insurance quotes.
- Bookmark Us - Click Bookmark Us to display information on how to save a reference RealPages.com.

How do I improve my search results?

Below are some search tips that will help improve your results:
To perform a Find Business search
- If you are not sure of spelling (category or business name), try a partial word. For example, "Bo" for Boat Dealers.
- Use the Modify Search functions to narrow your search to businesses near you. You can find businesses near a town, zip code, or landmark.
If your search returns no matches
- Check for misspellings (city, category and business name).
- If you are not sure of spelling (city, category or business name), try using a partial name. For example, type "At" for Atlanta or "Bo" for Boat Dealers.
- Omit articles (the, an) and conjunctions (and, but) from your search.
- Separate each word with a space.
- Try expanding your search area. For example, try searching a metropolitan area such as Atlanta, rather than a town or community.
